Ceremony Creates the Sacred Container to Honor the Beautiful Things that Take Place in our Lives
Ceremonies are thoughtful and planned, every piece has meaning and purpose and adds value to the experience.

Ceremony is a way to celebrate & honor the initiations and rites of passages we go through in our lifetime. As a ceremonialist, I work within my own traditions & practices and incorporate cross-cultural traditions & practices to meet the beautiful diversity of our community. Together, we co-create a beautiful, intimate, spiritual experience. Whether it be a sage cleansing ritual, rattling prayer, drumming, reading of poems, creating an altar, playing song, we weave together pieces that will create the sacred container. Every rite of passage and initiation in life is meant to be honored and cared for. My role is to serve as a conduit of Great Spirit’s love during these times of transition. Marriage + Commitment

It is an incredible honor + blessing to create the marriage/commitment ceremony that will join two people in sacred union. The ceremony begins the moment I meet the couple and start exploring their dreams/visions/prayers for their lives together. Through conversation, we explore the most intimate and important details. I gather the wisdom of their hearts, minds and spirit to create the ceremonial pieces. I take what I’ve gathered and write & plan all of the essential details, the most meaningful parts. I incorporate as much or little of the native traditions/practices the couple decides on. This may include all or some of my traditions/practices of rattling prayer, drumming, sage ceremony, cornmeal ceremony, poems/prayers etc.

Fee: $550

  • In-person or remote meeting (via phone or video) up to 1-hour

  • Writing a personalized ceremony for the couple including their additions i.e. poems, quotes, readings and vows etc.

  • In-person or remote meeting to finalize the ceremony and discuss any further notes about the day.

  • Arrival at wedding 30 minutes before scheduled start time.

  • Includes one hour ceremony (past scheduled start time) for ceremony to complete.

  • Completion of Marriage license

  • Performance of ceremony as discussed + planned

Birth + Mother’s Blessing

The Mother’s Blessing Ceremony is a beautiful time to gather one’s friends/loved ones to share in the common vision + dream for the birth of baby and initiation to motherhood. It’s a time for wisdom sharing and for the offering of prayers & blessings to open the path towards motherhood in a good and meaningful way. The ceremony offers a sacred space for the mama to feel loved, supported, and blessed by her community. As with all other ceremonies, I gather the vision/dream and diligently create the experience. Blessingways may include: rattling prayer, drumming, sage ceremony, cornmeal ceremony, poems/prayers and other rituals as decided. If the father is to be included, we will adjust the ceremony to create initiation around fatherhood or, this could also be a separate ceremony for the dad.

Fee: $350

  • One in-person or remote meeting (via phone or video).

  • Arrival at location 30 minutes before scheduled start time.

  • Opening + Prayer to create the sacred circle and welcome guests

  • Introduction to the Ceremony

  • One hour ceremony

  • Performance of ceremony as discussed + planned

Death + Moving On

Many rituals have been created to honor and bless Birth & Marriage/Commitment however, for many in the Western world death and dying is marked only by the funeral service. There is little done around the incredible beautiful spiritual nature of death and dying. Oftentimes I am called to be with the loved one who is preparing to make their transition to offer a cleansing & prayer ceremony. The ceremony created is a Blessingway for the death journey to be one of peace, love and light. This is a way for the family and loved ones to come together in a circle of spirit’s light and hold each other’s prayers for the experience. It’s a way of feeling connected in a time of grief and loss. The ceremony may include: sage ritual for cleansing, drumming journey, rattling prayers, candle lighting, music, sharing of thoughts, memories and prayers from loved ones. Calling in ceremony at this time honors death as a sacred rite of passage.

Fee: $350 or by sliding scale

  • One in-person or remote meeting (via phone or video).

  • Arrival at location 15 minutes before scheduled start time.

  • Opening + Prayer to create the sacred circle and welcome guests to the ceremony

  • Introduction to the Ceremony

  • One hour ceremony

  • Performance of ceremony as discussed + planned

 
 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • MARRIAGE LICENSE: Clients are responsible for obtaining their Marriage License in accordance with CA state laws.

  • TRAVEL: Travel includes up to 30 min from Santa Rosa. Travel beyond that is subject to an additional fee.

  • REFUND: If 30 days advance notice is given, a full refund is submitted minus $50 non-refundable deposit.

  • NATURAL CAUSES: In cases of Force majeure - Such as fire, flood, or worldwide pandemic that forces the government to shut down or limit your wedding, I will do my best to reschedule services when it is a more suitable time.

  • SLIDING SCALE: If paying the full fee creates an immense hardship and someone is seeking ceremony and means their intention in having it, please email me to discuss options for payment.
