Shamanism for Healing
Shamanism is an animist tradition. Animist believe that everything has a spiritual aspect or soul and this everything is alive to some degree. Indigenous spirituality of a place includes every aspect of a landscape; the entire ecology of being. Every place is a smaller web of life that has its own spirit, purpose, essence within the larger web. As we are in nature, we have the opportunity to consciously engage with the spirituality of the place to become partners to the space. We are guests, visitors as we are welcomed there. We can use a walking meditation to make contact in our own unique way to the land, the ancestors of the land and to our relationship to the unique spirit of the place we find ourselves in. The idea is to turn all our senses on & become fully awake and aware. To move between seeing beyond the ordinary realm to listening deeply to all the sounds and songs of the natural world to feeling & sensing every element around us and then we come fully alive. We feel with our whole bodies (spiritual, mental & physical) We fully engage and experience the entire magic & mystery of life's creation.
Join us on local land that has been in loving stewardship for over 40 years. Take a walk right though the gateway of the mystery. Listen to the sounds of shaking rattles, beating drums, sacred song, the power of breath and prayer. Hold your self in a loving and careful way as you allow some years, months, days and moments to shed. We will embrace the snake as we learn how to lose old skin. Leave much of the healing work up to me and my beautiful helpers.

Opening prayer- 4-Directional Rattling Prayer + Community Sage Ceremony w/ Introductions
Breathwork- powerful breathwork to open & ground our internal space
Shamanic Journey through Rattles and/or Drums to gather the wisdom of your heart for healing and to move from one realm to the other.
Personal Prayers will be developed and woven into the center of the wheel.
Shamanic Sound Bath including some deep release and removal of old/stuck/unwanted energies

Genevieve- I live to love and heal. My passion lies in bridging the magic & mystery into this practical life. I firmly believe in order to live a good life we must work on ourselves, serve the soul and transform the pain of the past. We must create the path forward living congruent with our own inherent beliefs and values. We must take a stance for ourselves, reclaim our original medicine and live from our personal power. Using cross-cultural practices I’ve been facilitating healing spaces for over 25 years.
Stacey (Chef)- Some of my most dear and vivid memories involve food. It is deeply woven into celebrations, gatherings, triumphs, happy times, and dark days. Food has the power to lift and open, to brighten and fortify - food is fuel, comfort, community, and medicine. Food is impactful, it can change lives. For me, food is pure joy, and the kitchen is my favorite playground! I am a trained pastry cook, have a certification in Holistic Health Coaching, and am currently studying Ayurveda. It is my great pleasure to feed bodies and souls with delicious food that is nutritiously impactful and lovingly prepared.
Trinity (breathwork)- I have been passionate about my relationship with the breath since 2017 when I was introduced to Kundalini Yoga. One aspect of our journey within the workshop will be connecting with the breath as we inhale and exhale, expand and contract utilizing long deep breathing to anchor and relax into our personal journey with the Great Mystery.

EXPERIENCE: No prior experience with ceremony or shamanism needed to take part in this healing retreat.
TRAVEL: Please allow enough time to arrive about 10minutes early so that we can begin at 10am.
REFUND: If 7 days advance notice is given we can submit a full refund.
SLIDING SCALE: If paying the full fee creates an immense hardship and someone is seeking ceremony and means their intention in having it, please email me to discuss options for payment.
